About me

Hi! I am Emily Vandal, a passionate performer originally from Enfield, CT. I recently graduated from Sacred Heart University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre and Music, and I am now attending New York University to earn my Master of Music in Vocal Performance in Musical Theatre!

My love for performing began in kindergarten, when I took the stage as Frosty the Snowman — complete with a pillowcase costume and lipstick on my nose. Since then, I haven’t stopped performing!

Some of my favorite recent roles include Amélie in Amélie, Sue Snell in Carrie, and a member of the ensemble in American Idiot. You can find more credits on my resumé page!

I thrive on challenging roles filled with drama and emotional depth. I love stepping outside my comfort zone to bring compelling characters to life. As a performer, my goal is to draw audiences in and make them truly feel the story's emotions.

Outside of performing, I’m an avid reader (my TBR is over 1,000 books long!), and a crafter, especially origami! For every show I’m in, I make paper cranes for everyone involved in the show to show my gratitude. I am also an advocate for neurodivergent performers, as I myself have ADHD. I've also been working on my piano skills, and have a few fun impressions up my sleeve, including a seagull, Barbie, and Siri!
